RAYON
Rayon is a versatile fibre with some of the same comfort properties as natural fibres. The drape of rayon garments can imitate the feel and texture of silk, wool, cotton and linen.
Rayon is a manufactured fibre made from regenerated cellulose from a variety of plants. The thread is thinner than cotton fibres, so it is good for delicate, lightweight clothing that drapes and flows around the body. Although it is breathable and cool against the skin it suits a dry heat better than humidity as it won’t wick away moisture as well as cotton.
Rayon Fujette - a type of fabric that features a crinkled crepe texture due to the threads being twisted tightly. Produces a lovely drape to the garment.

VISCOSE
Viscose is a type of rayon that is made primarily from wood pulp. Viscose often has a cotton like appearance with excellent draping qualities.
Viscose dobby - a woven fabric produced on the Dobby Loom, characterised by small geometric patterns and extra texture

FAIR TRADE ORGANIC COTTON
Our organic cotton is sourced from The Chetna Project, an organisation dedicated to working with small farmers to improve their livelihoods. It enables them to make a living via sustainable farming practices.
This organic cotton is used for our bedding and clothing.
All items made with organic cotton are clearly labelled on the garment swing tag, bedding bag or product page when purchasing through our online store.

COTTON
Cotton is cool on the skin and becomes softer with each wash.
Cotton fibre is a natural plant based fibre which is soft, absorbent and breathable. It is non-allergenic and durable.
Some of our previously loved prints are made with cotton voile or cotton batiste.
Cotton voile - soft light weight cotton that has a gentle drape.
Cotton batiste - slightly heavier cotton
Cotton slub - thicker and thinner threads within yarn create a textured feel when woven together
Semi sheer cotton - light weight cotton that can be slightly see through

LINEN
Linen is a textile made from the fibres of the flax plant. It is very strong, absorbent and dries more quickly than cotton. Garments made of linen offer exceptional coolness and freshness in hot and humid weather.
If linen is washed and simply hung to dry it has a lovely natural textured look. And then no need to iron! ;)
