Some good news - an update on giving back

Some good news - an update on giving back

We could all do with a dose of good news right now.

As a small business, giving back is a vital part of feeling connected & helping our community to grow & thrive.

One of the ways we do this is by being a part of i=change.

~ HOW DOES IT WORK? ~

It's simple!

When you place an online order with us, a pop up box will appear at checkout.

This gives you the option to donate $1 of your purchase to one of three charities.

No money out of your pocket.

We'll donate for you!

Greening Australia

1. RESTORE THE LAND

Greening Australia aims to restore 330,000 hectares of native trees across Australia by 2030.

Drawing on expert input of Traditional Owners, scientists and local land managers, they will plant 500 million trees and shrubs to store carbon, create quality habitat for native wildlife, and restore degraded farmland.

This is one of the world’s largest and most ambitious ecological restoration programs.

Empower through Literacy

2. EMPOWER WITH LITERACY

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children continue to fall through the cracks of our education system, trapping them in a cycle of vulnerability and illiteracy.

In remote areas, up to 70% of Aboriginal adults are ‘functionally illiterate’.
This is a national tragedy.

The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation is transforming lives through community-driven, ground-breaking and best practice literacy programs.

Working in English and Indigenous First Languages, ALNF is committed to creating sustainable, long-term change.

Giving Shelter

3. GIVE SHELTER

Families who have fled violence, war and persecution are often stripped of their basic rights in Australia, while waiting for an outcome to their legal status.
People often live this - in limbo for years.

Women and children are especially vulnerable during this time.

For the past 16 years, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) has supported and empowered over 3,000 refugees and people seeking asylum every year, helping provide a warm bed, food, education, employment support and much more.

The ASRC gives them hope for a safer, brighter future.

Humans for Abundance

Helping vulnerable communities & farmers become restorers.

They learn to regenerate their land rather than using harmful farming techniques. We sponsor the farmers to do this with our monthly donations.

As opposed to selling their labor or products cheaply to exploitative agricultural industries, these restorers sell eco-actions.

They are self-employed ecological entrepreneurs who own their land, create their working conditions, and determine which eco-actions they want to offer to the world.

The only requirement is that their eco-actions result in the conservation, de-contamination, or ecological restoration of forests, rivers, oceans, wetlands or any other habitats.
